Safe “stay in a hotel with a pool” honeymoons aren’t fit for all people anymore. Some of us more adventuring types like to look for a little bit of an extra edge, while keeping the romance.
Your wedding doesn’t need to be an adventure, but it can start off with one if you take a Safari on your honeymoon. Of course nobody wants to be in crouched tents and dusty roads in their honeymoon, so you’d need a particular kind of safari to keep everyone happy. I’d personally recommend going to Kenya, where you can experience the “big five” (elephants, lions, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopards), watch felines in the setting where BBC’s “Big Cats Live” show is shot, but still be able to, at the end of the day, enjoy a comfortable, luxurious hotel. Sure, it’s not for all, but everyone who likes a little bit of adventure in their lives will surely enjoy a side of danger with their romantic honeymoon. Be sure not to forget to book a trip down to Lake Nakuru, where you can watch the circle of life unfold, and also to the stunning Ngorongo Crater, where you will witness Nature’s raw power and beauty.
